In the 90s the firm Alfano laid on some race tracks in Europe a magnetic loop, to receive over these a lap time signal for their lap timer. Was it at first thought as a patent, in the meanwhile all manufacturers are allowed to use these loops as a lap time signal. Some race tracks have renewed their asphalt in the past few years and used this for installing further magnetic loops as so called split times.

Here you can find these magnetic loops as 48 cm pieces, to also equip your track with this technique. Our magnetic loop supports all lap timer systems, which are equipped with a magnetic field sensor.
