The 65th Macau Grand Prix will take place from 15th – 18th of November. On site, three memotec employees will attend to the FIA GT World Cup, the FIA F3 World Cup and the FIA WTCR.
Since 2016 memotec has been in charge of the FIA GT World Cup in Macau. Each GT3 vehicle must be equipped with a data logger (AiM evo5) and a surveillance camera (AiM SmartyCam HD GP). The data logger records certain vehicle parameters during each drive, which are then downloaded and analysed. This ensures that the vehicles comply with the homologation and have been correctly classified via the Balance of Performance. The so-called Incident Cam allows the stewards to watch the onboard videos during incidents and thus make their decisions.
In the beginning it was the TCR International which memotec was since 2015 in charge of, from this year on this series was renamed to WTCR. The data loggers (AiM evo5) remained the same, only the Incident Cam (AiM SmartyCam HD) was added.
At the FIA F3 World Cup there is a CAN interface (ECU Bridge) in every formula car, which supplies the Incident Cam (SmartyCam HD GP) with the measured values. No data is recorded, but only made available to the overlay of the camera.
